Maintenance Overview for Vesco Tools
General Maintenance Guidelines:
  • The longevity of Vesco tools is highly dependent on proper maintenance by the operator.
  • Regular and correct maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of the tools.
Maintenance for A Set and T Set:
  • Clean all tool parts thoroughly after use.
  • Lubricate rotating parts and the spring weekly.
  • Sharpen the mobile blade with Vesco stones (F2, F3, or F4) when cutting performance declines, especially for branch-cutters.
  • Check and adjust the play between the blade and counter-blade as needed.
  • Ensure all screws are tightened weekly.
Sharpening Instructions:
  • Specific sharpening instructions are provided for models A1, A3, A10, A2, A4, A40, T10, and T20.
Play Adjustment Procedure:
  1. Secure a n° 17 tube wrench in a vice.
  2. Fit the central screw's hexagonal head into the tube wrench and tighten slightly.
  3. Use a n° 14 wrench to tighten the central nut.
  4. Simultaneously turn the n° 14 wrench and shears in the direction indicated by the arrow until the spring opens the shears.
Maintenance for C Set:
  • Vesco saws (C set) require no maintenance or blade sharpening.
Maintenance for B Set:
  • Clean all tool parts thoroughly after use.
  • Lubricate rotating parts weekly.
  • Sharpen the blade edge with Vesco stones (F1 or F3) when cutting performance declines.
  • Adjust the play between the blade and counter-blade by tightening or loosening the central hexagonal nut using a n° 10 wrench for B2 and B3 shears, and a n° 8 wrench for B1 shears.

maintenance First of all, the life of Vesco tools depends on the way the operator looks after them. If the following maintenance operations are carried out correctly and regularly, the shears will always work perfectly and they will also last longer. Maintenance (A set and T set) – Clean all the tool parts accurately after the shears are used; – lubricate the rotating parts and the spring once a week; – sharpen the mobile blade when it does not cut properly using Vesco stones F2, F3 or F4 type (specially recommended for branch-cutters); – check and adjust the blade and counter-blade play. If it is necessary; – check all the tightening of all the screws once a week.
