internal transport Internal transport system The Visser Monorail internal transport system is an internal logistics system for your greenhouse. A unique system which gives you numerous possibilities for the internal transport of pots, trays, pots in trays or crates. The system provides you flexibility since it can be applied to existing greenhouse structures. The systems rides on a monorail which is mounted in the ridge of the greenhouse. The Visser Monorail system is based on a battery driven train with a platform and an attached trolley with a platform. On this platform any product carrier can be placed. To change tracks, ‘change overs’ can be mounted. These can be operated manually. There are different models of change-over available for different track changes. Internal transport available for every existing greenhouse The Visser Monorail internal transport system improves horticulture in its simplicity. Once a track is (manually) chosen by the operator, the train runs automatically. By using change-overs and double tracks, different operations (Potting, spacing and/or shipping/delivery) can be done simultaneously. Starting and stopping can also be accomplished by a pulling-cord on the train. Capacity The capacity of the system is depending on the track length, the speed of loading and unloading the platforms and the number of trains in the system. If it seems that the capacity needs to be higher, extra trains can be put into the system without any issues or programming needed. The system can be extended with extra machines for automatic loading and unloading in the working area. Unloading and loading in the greenhouse will be done manually. Running time The trains have a battery for power supply. The battery is normally suitable for a working day up to 12 hours. For charging the battery, the charger needs to be connected manually. Normally the charging is done overnight and the trains can stay on the track. If needed, a special track where the trains can be parked for charging can be designed into the system. For passing from one greenhouse to the next, saloon type doors are available which will be opened and closed if the train comes in contact with
