Soil handling The storage and preparation of soil substrate form the basis of the cultivation of plants. The most suitable soil preparation system can be chosen according to volume and the number of different substrates required for your process. For the storage of substrate Viscon provides conveyor equipped bunkers with soil digging cranes. For substrate preparation for smaller batches Viscon provides proven soil mixing systems, watering systems and glue systems. A good start is a great finish!

Pot filling Prior to all cultivation, pots are filled with the optimal substrate. To achieve a successful growth of the root system of the plant, all pots must be filled with a constant quality and density level. Viscon partnered with the experienced high quality supplier Mayer, who specializes in pot filling. Mayer provides a wide product range from basic machines, up to high end - high capacity machines. Pot in tray filling Viscon supplies a wide range of tray fillers for pots. All our tray fillers reduce soil waste by means of a template, provide a clean filling result and allow you to change to different tray or pot sizes by changing the template. To complete the automation we also provide tray destackers, pot dosing units and bark spreaders. An excellent filling result will influence the quality of your finished product. Herbs can be sown directly on to pots. Viscon specializes in seeding lines and provides our ‘Granudine’ seeder, which is perfect for seeding naked seeds in bigger amounts in pots with a high capacity. Our mechanical plate seeder also provides options for seeding directly on pots in trays. All pelleted seeds can be sown with the plate seeder. Accurate specialized seeding. The perfect solution for an efficient work flow. A CONTINUOUS WORK FLOW Transplanting The Viscon PC11 enables transplanting directly on the potting machine. The machine can pick up plants from every source tray and plant them in the potting machine. The machine can store 50 plant combinations which can easily be changed during production. With up to 5500 plants per hour this machine is the perfect solution for a continuous workflow and an efficient environment. After the transplanter, plants can be automatically collected to be transported to the greenhouse for further cultivation.
