Keep an eye on the average speed and on the gusts of wind The Weenat Anemometer measures average wind speed and gusts. But how do these measurements work? The ‘raw’ wind measurement is first averaged over 3 sliding seconds to obtain a filtered measurement. This measurement shows the instantaneous wind speed and direction. 2 As far as average wind speed is concerned, the Weenat application gives you the average of filtered measurements over 15 minutes.
