Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document provides technical specifications and applications for Kronos linkage and trailed harrows, manufactured by WIKAR OY AB. These harrows are designed for efficient soil treatment and are used extensively in agriculture for various purposes.
Specifications
The harrows are available in different models with varying working widths, transport dimensions, number of shafts, ball bearings, blades, and weights. The models include 3150, 4200, 4800 for linkage mounted harrows, and 4150, 4900, 6400 for trailed harrows. Power requirements range from 60/80 kW/hp to 130/180 kW/hp.
Blade Movement and Soil Treatment
The blade movement is designed to penetrate, lift, and chop soil and plant material effectively. This action helps in breaking clods, burying straw, and chopping trash, which aids in decomposition and weed control. The harrows are particularly effective in mixing straw and plant residues into the soil, preparing seedbeds, and aerating pastures.
Applications
Rotary harrows are versatile and used for minimum soil treatment, stubble cultivation, seedbed preparation, and mixing manure and compost into the soil. They are also used for aerating long-duration pastures and grasslands.
Performance and Features
The harrows are designed for high-speed operation (12-15 km/h) and cover significant areas efficiently. The models offer smooth cultivating results due to adjacent shafts moving in the same direction, preventing soil banks and furrows. The harrows feature excellent bearing design, reducing clogging and enhancing durability.
Additional Equipment
Extra weights and rollers can be added to the harrows for enhanced performance. Support wheels are available for certain models to prevent deep penetration in light soils.
Conclusion
Kronos harrows offer outstanding performance in soil mixing and preparation, making them a valuable tool for farmers focusing on cereal crops and livestock farming. Their robust design and efficient operation make them suitable for various agricultural applications.

Harrows-1

Kronos breaks even hard clods and tears the trash into pieces. It breaks and cuts the roots of weed plants efficiently, thus preventing nutrients from gathering around the weed roots. Kronos destroys weeds on the spot. The blade movement seen from above The blade movement seen from the side The blade movement seen from behind Each blade move the soil from side to side. Each blade make a sharp cutting action. Kronos forces its way even into a hard soil and breaks the clods, buries and chops straw and trash. Each blade penetrates, lifts and chops the material. Due to the shovelling power that draws down Kronos pushes into the ground with optimal weight. The excellent mixing ability of Kronos throughout the whole stratum is based on its blade movement. Kronos covers over straw, stubble and other plants evenly so that decomposition can start immediately.
